Around 2005. Designing an AR experience for Big Brother Brazil.

Design is reduction.
Did you study design, or are you self taught? And how did that path influence your work style?
Went to school for Advertising, so got a lot of the initial theoretical knowledge there. Everything I learned about Design and UX was self-taught after that. Relying that much on self-learning inspired me to create the UX Collective (http://uxdesign.cc) — the largest design publication on Medium.
The biggest innovation in product design right now is...
Paper clips. Never get old.
With all the current experience, what would you tell yourself when you were just starting out?
Stop reading design blogs.
What do you think is the biggest problem in the design industry right now and how can it be fixed?
Gatekeeping. There's room for everyone.
